Nauvoo, Illinois – Sept. 21-23
Welcome to Nauvoo, Hebrew meaning "Beautiful Place". Once a swampy unsettled land, Nauvoo quickly transformed into one of the largest cities in Illinois in the 1840s. Today, more than 60 restored historic sites and two visitor's centers come together to tell the story and bring the history to life, on a horseshoe bend of the Mississippi River. Tour the homes, learn the history and see Beautiful City of Nauvoo through the stories told. Live entertainment, shows, tours, games, shopping, food and all around fun for the entire family.
